Junior Associate – International Arbitration and Sports Law
Coccia De Angelis & Associati is recruiting for its Rome office a highly motivated Junior Associate, whose work will focus primarily on international arbitration and international sports law.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in complex international arbitration proceedings administered by major arbitration institutions (e.g. ICC).
- Contribute to contentious and regulatory sports law matters before domestic and international bodies (including FIFA, CAS, national/international federations).
- Draft and review legal submissions, procedural documents, contracts, and opinions in Italian and English.
- Conduct legal research and support case strategy across various jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-border matters and liaise with clients, arbitral institutions, and governing bodies.
Requirements
- Italian law degree with a final grade of at least 104/110.
- Admission to the Bar (Avvocato).
- 1–3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within an international or well-established Italian law firm.
- Proven academic or professional international exposure (e.g., LL.M., Erasmus, internship, work experience abroad).
- Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken) is essential; working knowledge of Spanish is highly valued.
- Solid grounding in civil and commercial law; prior exposure to international litigation or sports law is highly valued.
- Strong legal research and writing skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
