The CAS overturns the FIFA decision of May 27, 2021 which prohibited the player from taking part in matches with the Albanian national team. The Court of Arbitration for Sport justified the decision with the fact that Bajrami has never played for the Swiss senior national team and that he was already in possession of Albanian nationality. For these reasons, he can then be called to the national team by the coach Edy Reja.
